Spring Ballot Set

by

Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) - For some it came down to the wire, but ballots for the Spring election have now been set.

Candidates had until 5 o’clock Tuesday night to get their papers in to run for various offices. All 32 County Board Commissioners are up for re-election, but there is only one contest set now. In the 24th district, which represents the city of Plymouth, Incumbent Thomas Wegner will be opposed by Fred Henschel. All other candidates will be unopposed with two commissioners, Don Schramm (16th) and Harold Riemer (26th), not seeking re-election.

In the city of Sheboygan, things are bit more exciting, with four of the eight aldermen running for re-election, Ed Surek in the First, Vang Vue in the Second, Jeremy Dekker in the Sixth and Mark Hanna in the Seventh, facing challengers to their seats. Jeannie Kliejunas in the Fifth district is not seeking re-election. The Spring Primary will be held February 16th, with the Spring Election April 6th.
