(Allegan) - It was another red letter day at Perrigo, as the Allegan-based generic pharmaceutical maker on Friday won a federal patent lawsuit against Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, clearing the way to manufacture 600 milligram extended-release tablets of guaifenesin, known more by its marketing name of Mucinex. Perrigo wants to tap into that cough-cold remedy market that generated 162 million dollars in 2009.
