(Zeeland) - Although it has been in effect for a month, electric customers of the Zeeland Board of Public Works will start seeing on their bills today higher monthly fees – up to 60 cents for residents, and 60 cents per megawatt hour for businesses and factories. Officials say that this is to pay for a program that encourages energy efficiency, in keeping with new state laws about increasing conservation and developing renewable sources.
