(Holland, MI - WHTC News) - It’s time for fence-mending and unifying for Rick Snyder.
After last Saturday’s state Republican convention that showed some fractures in the party, the GOP’s gubernatorial nominee and new standard-bearer in Michigan joined with the rest of the top-of-the-ticket slate in a series of campaign stops across the state yesterday. The excursion ended at the Holland headquarters of Haworth, Incorporated, where Snyder and the group got a personal tour of the facility. It was his third swing through the proverbial backyard of closest yet now-defeated primary rival Pete Hoekstra since the Ann Arbor venture capitalist announced his candidacy.
Snyder was joined by running mate Brian Calley, attorney general-nominee Bill Schuette, Secretary of State-nominee Ruth Johnson, and other top GOP candidates. The Democratic gubernatorial ticket of Virgil Bernero and Brenda Lawrence makes a campaign stop in Grand Rapids today.
