Will Power raced to a dominating victory yesterday in winning the IRL Grand Prix of Sonoma. Starting from the pole, Power led 73 of 75 laps and used the win to pad his advantage over defending series champion Dario Franchitti to 59 points with 4 races remaining. Scott Dixon was second at Sonoma with Franchitti third and Ryan Briscoe fourth.
Meanwhile, the NASCAR Sprint Cup series is on a two week layoff until the September Fifth race at Atlanta and Kyle Busch will certainly be enjoying the break time. Busch became the first racer ever to sweep all three of NASCAR's top divisions with his Saturday night win at Bristol Motor Speedway in the Irwin Tools 500.
Busch completed the sweep after winning Friday's Nationwide Series event and Thursday's Camping World Truck Series race.
