(Detroit, MI) -- Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is reportedly under consideration by President Obama to be his nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court. Obama will select a person who, with Senate approval, will replace the retiring Justice John Paul Stevens. Granholm calls it a "privilege" to be a potential candidate. According to multiple reports, Granholm and six others are on President Obama's list. Solicitor General Elena Kagan, and federal appeals court judges Merrick Garland and Diane Wood emerged as potential leading contenders over the weekend.
