Duluth, Mn (KDAL) The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced its 2010 road construction program. This year will see 283 projects totaling 1.3 billion dollars. That includes the 70 million dollar reconstruction of a large portion of I-35 through Duluth and a 13.7 million dollar project on Highway 61 between Duluth and Grand Portage. Also on the construction list is the Miller Hill Corridor upgrade on Highway 53 which should be complete in July. Highway 169 from Grand Rapids to Coleraine and from Taconite to Nashwauk will get resurfacing work this summer. Motorists are urged to slow down and use extra caution in work zones.
