Are Mexicans Afraid Of 2010? Posted December 31, 2009 by Red Kingman

Here's a news flash: Mexicans are afraid of 2010. And here I thought everyone was more worried about 2012 what with the Myan calendar ending in that year and that block buster movie from the summer of 2009, "2012"! I just wonder why would anyone, Mexicans included be worried about 2010?

Well, for our neighbors to the south, perhaps the answer lies in the fact that Mexico has seen upheval every 100 years beginning with the start of Mexico's bloody, decade-long War Of Indepencence that began in 1810. Exactly 100 years later Mexico's 1910 centennial saw the start of the bloody, decade-long Mexican Revolution, which killed more than a million people. And now here we are, 100-years later and Mexico is about to celebrate it's bicentennial and will we see yet another decade long fight...this time between the drug lords and the government? And with the North American Free Trade Agreement in place will Americans be at risk? IN AMERICA?? Did I mention that on January 1, 1994, the day that NAFTA took effect Zapatista guerillas started a revols in the poor southern state of Chiapas? It does appear that some Mexican insurrections do coincide with importand dates.

FULL BODY SCANS...(SCAMS) Posted December 30, 2009 by Red Kingman

So, Ohare is going to receive full body scanners early next year, and surely more airports will follow in the wake of the failed airline bombing attemp last week.

This is an example of just what the screeners will see when they scan you. Except that I do hope if you are a man that you will NOT be wearing a g-string like this guy. Nothing like being the...butt of their jokes (no pun intended!).

How do you feel about the full body scan? Just remember what your Mother taught you...always have on clean undies in case you are in an accident, and now, if you're going to be flying on a domestic flight.

The Latest In Hijacker Apparel.... Posted December 29, 2009 by Red Kingman

So is this the latest in underwear from Victorias Secret's Terrorist Division? It looks like a diaper gone mad! And can someone tell me WHY the authorities in Amsterdam didn't discover these special "und's" during the passengert screening process? Another good question is why does our President have such a hard time calling a terrorist a terrorist? I believe that he said, and I quote  (“As the plane made its final approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, a passenger allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device on his body, setting off a fire”) is he so ridiculously PC as to not recognize this person as a tetrrorist and their actions as terroristic? I think that President Obama should take a lesson from the Lagos Government.

Chinedu Eze, writes in the newspaper THIS DAY "The Federal Government has threatened that it would suspend indefinitely any airline, whether foreign or local, that flouts the maximum security situation introduced after the failed attempt of a Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, to blow up the Northwest Airline Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit, Michigan on Christmas day.

The warning came as the Nigerian government ordered a 100 per cent screening of passengers at the airports, especially those on international destinations."

And while the actions of the alleged terrorist didn't originate on American soil, The Obama administratiuon was quick in reinforcing the need for additional layers of security. HELLO! Do you think that we need tighter security in light of this latest attempted terror attack, or that the current level will suffice? And whats up with Obama? That darn attempted terror attack upsetting the Presidents Hawaiian vacation. Is there no decency!??!

Botched Airline Bombing Ignites Tighter Airline Security Posted December 28, 2009 by Red Kingman

I Thank you twice Mr. Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab Farina Al-Kabob (I added the last two names!). Once for being an inept terrorist, and again for the reawakening of awareness in the American people that there are nut jobs out there like you who STILL want to kill to "get even" by killing innocent humans, to score 72-virgins in the process and hope that your earthly family will be taken care of by the Mullah! I'm sure that you all know by now I'm that Mr. Mutallab is the "UFAM" bomber who tried to ignite a bomb on Northwest Airlines flight 235, but was thwarted by a fearless passenger.

Now I see that after a two-day clampdown Airline officials say that in flight security rules have been eased.  At the Captains discretion passengers can again have blankets ontheir laps (about the only spot they actually keep warm!) along with other items and can move around the cabin during the tail end of the flight.

I thought that the terrorists had moved on from bombing planes, but apparently not. And I will have to do some serious thinking before I take my next flight. The train is looking pretty good these days. How do you feel, are you concerned about your safety at 37,000 feet? Do you think that this was an isolated incident, or, like an episode of "24" was only a diversion as the real terror act is about to take place? Will CTU Agent Jack Bauer save the day? And why was the suspected terrorist, forever known as "UFAM" banned in Britton and NOT in the U.S.? Yes he was on the terrorist WATCH list, but not on the NO-FLY list. I guess he wasn't suspected of being THAT big a terrorist threat so he could fly!

Listen to a debate between a prosecutor and a defense lawyer as they debate the mechanics of a possible trial of the UFAM Bomber.

OBAMA(could)CARE(less)?? Posted December 24, 2009 by Red Kingman

On a cold winter morning, after months of arduous negotiations and 24-days of floor debate Senate Democrats passed a landmark healthcare bill.

I just wonder why the need for so many "back room deals" and virtually NO transparency? This administration is on track to do AS much harm as the Bush years, but in record time! All the wrangling, back scratching, and monies given to particular states in exchange for votes is sickening. And for those who say "well thats just the way it is" will you please pull your head out of the sand! That is NOT the way it HAS to be!

So, are you happy with todays vote? Do you REALLY think that now you and 93% of Americans are going to benifit from the passage of this bill?

Balloon Boy's Father Had His Day In Court Posted December 23, 2009 by Red Kingman

The Balloon Boy saga came to an end yesterday in a Fort Collins Colorado courtroom as Richard and Mayumi Heene were sentenced to 90 and 20-days in jail respectively.

"I do want to reiterate that I'm very, very sorry. And I want to apologize to all the rescue workers out there, and the people that got involved in the community. That's it," said Richard Heene, whose wife did not speak at the hearing.

P. Solomon Banda of the Associated Press writes; "The Heenes' probation will be revoked if they are found to be profiting from any book, TV, movie or other deals related to the stunt.".

"This, in simple terms, was an elaborate hoax that was devised by Mr. and Mrs. Heene," the judge said.

So what are your thoughts on the B-Boy saga? Should the parents of little Falcon Heene be allowed to profit from this hoax? Did they get enough jail time? And what would you say to the Heene's if you had the chance?

BAN THE SMOKING BAN IN MICHIGAN? Posted December 22, 2009 by Red Kingman

Gov. Granholm signed a bill into law that prohibits smoking in all restaurants, bars, and the in workplace, with tribal and Detroit casinos getting a pass. Are you happy with this new law? Unhappy? April Gardner of www.casinogambling.com writes:

“Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm signed the new smoking ban into law on this past Friday, and it has left smokers with little options. One option will be to gather on casino floors, where smoking is still legal.

As is the case with any law, politicians must protect the special interest groups, and in the case of the Michigan smoking ban, that interest group is the casinos. They used powerful lobbying techniques to ensure that their establishments steer clear of any possible safety precautions that a smoking ban would have brought.

The freedom to go out to dinner and smoke had always been an option for smokers, but in May, when the law takes affect, these smokers will have to make an important decision. Do they want to eat, or do they want to smoke?”

So, do you think it opens the door for more governmental intrusion into our lives? Whats next?
