British mattress manufacturer Savior Beds this week is launching a limited edition "Royal Bed" with a $175,000 price tag at Kensington Palace in London.  Ssavior describes its mattress as "an investment" in your well being-HA!  I suppose they think that  buying such an expensive mattress would seem ridiculous.  And they are correct!

Each mattress requires more than 700 hours of labor (we are talking about a mattress and not a Rolls Royce, although both require about as much time to build and cost about the same too!).  It will contain "masses and masses" of curled Latin American horse tail, "mountains" of pure Mongolian cashmere, and enough specialty woven silk to be strung from New York to Miami and almost halfway back again (more than 1,600 miles worth).
