The Kitchen Sink

As if the tales of gloom and doom over the looming sequestration cuts weren't enough, enter Homeland Security chief Janat Napolitano to throw some more fuel on the "sequestration fear fire" by saying that automatic budget cuts could trigger new terror attacks, delay travel and render customs & border unable to enforce immigration laws.

“I’m not here to scare people; I’m here to inform and let people begin to plan,” Napolitano stated. “I don’t think we can maintain the same level of security at all places around the country with sequester compared to without sequester.”  Aaron Dykes of infowars.com said "The intent of Napolitano’s speech to intimidate budget cuts with the threat of new attacks was clear, despite her claims to the contrary."

This seems to be a very effective tool used by this administration (and once by the last Bush...weapons of mass destruction), the fear factor.  Tell them that the world will end if he doesn't get what he wants, then after weeks of speeches (or campaigning as some call it) get Congress to cave in.  We have seen it over and over again.
