In honor of Black History Month I would like to share with you my interview with Coretta Scott King Honor Winner Tanya Bolden, author of the stunning new book “EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION: Lincoln and the Dawn of Liberty”.  

We had a wonderful conversation about the proclamation, the civil war, and what this document means to ALL Americans.

The book is a masterwork that truly honors the historic event with both its lyrical prose and beautiful design and Bolden is a tremendous interview who can discuss all aspects of the anniversary with a breadth of knowledge second to none.
