And here I thought that LeBron-o-mania would have died down by now, but then I read where LeBron played the "race card" when he told CNN's Solidad Obrien "that race was is a factor in the public backlash against him since The Decision". Referring to his bombastic primetime "lookie at me" television special which by the way was a BAD decision that was made by a basketball millionaire youngster who has yet to gain the necessary maturity that would enable him to make GOOD decisions!
One of my favorite sports writers Jason Whitlock of foxsports.com summed things up perfectly in a recent article which you can read right here: http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/LeBron-James-should-put-away-the-race-card-and-just-apologize-093010
I do wish that prominent Americans of Negro decent would stop using the race card unnecessarily. There is definitely a time and place for pulling it, but LeBron, this was NOT one of those times! What are your thoughts?
