Let me ask you a question, do you believe that there are "hidden messages" in print advertising? This phenomena is also known as subliminal messages, but few belioeve that really exist. And if they do then why? Psycologist say is't because these subliminal messages can have a profound and direct impact on the things we decide to purchase. Often times the messages are so subtle that they are nearly impossible for the naked eye to see, however, it's not the naked eye that they are going for, but rather your subliminal mind. Case in point, do you see anything unusual in this plumbing ad from the 1950's:
Maybe not right side up, but upside down.......and cropped just below her chin line and presto...a subliminal message that is suppose to "enhance" the message, or was there another purpose?
