After eight seasons Fox is pulling the plug on agent Jack Bauer and CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit).  The final "real time" episode will air in May, but there is talk about a feature film starring Keifer Sutherland in the title role doing some butt kickin in Europe.

Some of the reasons for the cancellation are a swelling budget, declining ratings, and creative fatigue. Lets face it, in eight seasons agent Jack Bauer and the CTU team have faces every possible terrorist threat and even revisited s couple twice everything from a dirty bomb, to an actual nuclear explosion in an urban area. Why Jack was ewven killed TWICE and brought back from the dead surpassing only Jesus in the resurrection department!

So how feasable is a feature length film at this point in the series run? Would there be enough interest to warrant the expense? Are there any story lines that have yet to be explored? Ahould Jack Bauer hang up his gun?
