This Story Is FLUSH With Mistakes

Posted by Red Kingman on

Today is Thomas Crapper Day. Who is Thomas Crapper you may ask? He's a gent who died 100 years ago this week.  Then again, maybe he didn't! It depends on whether he lived or not  Many believe that he is the inventor of the toilet. But is that true or a bunch of crap? (no pun intended)

You see Sir Thomas Crapper is widely recognized as the inventor of the flush toilet. His biography is classified as "non-fiction" by the library of congress.  It appears now, however, that Sir Thomas lived only in the mind of British author Wallace Reyburn who wrote the alleged biography entitled FLUSH WITH PRIDE. According to the bathroom history Clean And Decent by Lawrence Wright, the island of Crete had flush toilets as early as 2500 B.C. So you can see where that leaves Sir Thomas Crapper! (In the ........)

So is it time for a new toilet design? And what is a bidet? Is it a low, basinlike bathroom fixture or a small saddle horse, or both?
