But seriously though, Wednesday February 24th a 40-year-old SeaWorld trainer was killed by a killer whale in Shamu Stadium. Early Wednesday evening the identity of the trainer was revealed to be Dawn Brancheau.

"Brancheau was pronounced dead at the park after being recovered from the pool. Orange County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators continue to investigate the death of the trainer who was reported to have 16 years of experience working with killer whales," the Orange County Sheriff's Office wrote in an emailed release.

There are a total of eight whales in Shamu Stadium. SeaWorld spokesman Fred Jacobs says the whale that killed Brancheau in front of a horrified audience Wednesday is Tilikum. A whale that has been involved in TWO OTHER KILLING OF HUMANS! At what point do you decide to make shark steaks out of a killing killer whale?? This is exactly why Black people DO NOT TRAIN SHARKS or KILLER WHALES.
