Day two of my Massachusetts journey began with me waking up from a wonderful nights sleep after having been upgraded by a very empathetic front desk clerk at the Hampton Inn Worcester. She was like Glenda the good witch of the west. Kind, helpful, cheerful. Then I checked into my room at the Hampton Inn here in Erie and was greeted by the wicked with of the east. Combative, unyielding, and probably a former SS Youth leader who after telling me on the phone that she has "tons of rooms", would not consider giving me an upgrade! AND, get this, she couldn't tell me how much more I would have to pay in order to GET a king room!!! Perhaps it was my calm demeanor that set her off, or the fact that I was courteous, whatever the reason, she gave me a stinky room with stains on the floor that looked like that had been there since Johnson was president! And it doesn't matter if the room has a 32in. flat screen tv, which it did. Stinky and stains trumped it!
As for the drive from Worcester to Erie it went off without a hitch and I got here just as planned. Well sort of. Since I didn't bring a map, and like most guys thought that "I knew which way to go", I naturally got lost and fell behind almost an hour! Along thw way I saw some pretty sights that I will share with you below.
Gee, look at that. They even make those jet trails in NY!
You know whats more dangerous than driving and texting? Driving and taking pictures!
Look closely and tell me what you see?

Falling water has frozen creating these very surreal frozen waterfalls.
And as the sun set on day two of my trip, I settle into one of my two queen size beds, in my stinky hotel room, to dream of soon being home nice and cozy with Judy and Ebony.
