Lauri: Two people can indeed have the same dream on the same night. It’s called shared dreaming and it usually happens to two people who are very close: husband and wife, best friends, mother and daughter. The reason why is because the two individuals are dealing with the same issue and their subconscious responds to it similarly by giving them comparable dreams. That being said, are you and your wife in a situation where, no matter how hard you work, you can’t seem to go anywhere or make any headway? And do you recall discussing it the day before you both had this dream? If so, the message of the dream may be that it’s time to try a different direction. Like a hamster, as long as he keeps moving in that one direction in the ball, he’ll never go anywhere.

Ben replies: We're saving up for a wedding that is out of town and every dime is going for that. We had just been talking about how we've been skimpy in the fun department. Maybe that's the hamster ball trap in the dream. We did both talk about it after the dreams and couldn't believe we both had similar dreams.
