DID THE RIGHT WIN?

The right man or what appears to be the right man does not always win.  Looking back to the 1952 election when Eisenhour ran against Adai Stevenson.  Democrat Stevenson had a superior control of the language, a lot of political knowledge and showed a lot of party loyalty.  Eisenhour, fresh from command of the war in Europe, not sure what party he would vote for, most of his life in the armed forces, was snapped up by influtential Republicians to get in the political race, left his Gettysburg farm to test the waters.  Adlai gave some good speeches and was swept out of the race by the War hero and did not do well in the election.  Certainly he knew more about government and politics, but the people wanted IKE. Popularity won over reason.  Yes, it happened before.
