The Senate is dicussing background checks for the purchase of any gun.  

Two senators , Coburn, a Republican and Schumer, a Democrat are leading the fray to require checks on any purchase or a possible "new guns only<' requirement.  Will long guns be included and will gun shows be included?  Where would the records be kept? Many feel a gun purchase from a friend or neighbor, should not require the person require a background check and should the seller be required to keep the records forever?  It will all probably end up with a modified bill and lower record keeping rules.  I hope they keep it simple so we can understand it. Will BB gun purchases require a background check?
