There was a time when I did not care for Christmas music. In the advertising businesss, Christmas starts in September. By December 25, we.ve had it already.
Things have changed. There is such a derth of any music on radio these days that we are eager to hear those old tunes. Much of the broadcast day is filled wiith what we call "talking heads"--people who drone on by the hour about inane material that put many listeners to sleep. Now we welcome music, any music. Some station now play Christmas music, the year around. A bit ridiculous, perhaps, but "HARK THE HERALD ANGLES SING" really sounds good. What's your preference?
