I heard the President's news conference yesterday, imploring the Congress to tax the rich. Perhaps the rich could temper their donations so they could pay more taxes. Certainly we could do without the Fieldhouse, or the Childrens Hospital in Grand Rapids. We could have made the old Pantlind Hotel last a little longer. We have many more examples of extablishments and parks donated by wealthy or built by the wealth of doners.
This area has benefited a, lot thanks to the wealthy among us, but with President Obsma, taxing the rich seems to be an obsession.
Where can we strike a happy medium?
