During the spring like weather, I had a chance to give my car a good interior cleaning.  I retrieved a gas receipt from June 10, 2010.  I amazed to learn I only paid $2.64 per gallon for the gas on that date.  

This added up to quite an amount when I considered a month of gas use.  Monday morning we were hovering around $ 3.41 and suddenly we are back up to the higher prices again Monday afternoon.  Why does this yo-yo pricing continue?  Anyone have an answer?
