Last Saturday evening, my wife and I decided to go to the beach with a picnic lunch.  When we turned onto Douglaas Ave. the traffic waiting for the light at River was about a half mile long returning from the beach.  We readily found a parking spot near where we could get a good view of the channel and settled in.  As I enjoyed the surroundings, I could not help but think how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy this beauty.  Everyone enjoying the beach, even the sea gulls.  We watched the boats go in and out of the channel- sort of a million dollar parade--everyone was in a great mood.  What a great stress reducer.  Get out and enjoy Michigan.  Its Wonderful!
