Does anyone still celebrate family reunions on the Fourth ofJUly?

Many years ago we celebrated the Cook reunion on the Fourth.  My paternal grandmother was a Cook and she had many brothers in the Holland area.  One of them was my dad's uncle G. Cook who owned a feed company North of downtown.  He also owned a cottage which was I believe was called Rosabelle Beach.  As a youngster, I called it Rosevelt Beach.  The whole gang would gather at the cottage and enjoy the lake atmosphere, swimming, fireworks and visiting.  Our Model A Ford was decorated with five flags on the radiator cap.  the food was picnic fare, beans, potato salad, hotdogs and whatever mothers packed in the picnic basket.  It all tasted expecially good on the Holiday.  

Those of us who are still around, remember those Fourth of July Picnics. I,m sure.
