Michael Jackson's Former Giraffes Die

Posted by Gary Stevens on

(Page, AZ)  --  Two giraffes that used to belong to Michael Jackson when he lived at his Neverland Ranch have died.  The giraffes, JJ and Rambo, passed away under suspicious circumstances.  The animals had been living at Banjoko Wildlife Preserve in Page since 2006.  People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals claim Banjoko is responsible for the deaths either because the giraffes were exposed to Page's cold temperatures, or because they weren't fed properly.  PETA made their accusations to the preserve in a letter sent to Page police chief Charlie Dennis.  The organization is asking for the police to step in and remove the two remaining Jackson giraffes from the reserve.  Founder Freddie Hancock and her husband Tom are actually facing eviction, meaning the giraffes will likely be moved from the reserve regardless of PETA's accusations.
