(Boston, MA) -- The Suffolk Superior Court in Boston is calling on a house cat to perform his civic duty. Sal, a tabby, has been summoned for jury duty. The animal's owner, Guy Esposito, tells "WHDH-TV" the mixup must have started on a Census form, where Sal was listed under "pets." His owners, however, crossed out the word dog and wrote down cat. Sal's owners filed a disqualification of service request, but an unsympathetic commissioner shot it down. Sal is scheduled to show up to court March 23rd.
