(St. Marks, FL) -- Right on schedule, ten juvenile whooping cranes arrived at the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge Wednesday morning. Volunteer pilots in ultra lights led the way for the birds making their first southward migration that started in Wisconsin. The birds will spend the winter in a pen site dubbed "The Hilton" at the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge. Operation Migration hopes to create a self-sustainable migrating flock from Wisconsin to Florida.
