GRAND HAVEN WKZO AM/FM) — The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety is advising anyone who finds money around U.S. 31 and Coho Drive to turn it into police.
If reports are correct, there is still a lot of it out there.
They say the owner of the money told officers a box containing thousands of dollars fell off his vehicle while he was driving in the area Thursday night.
Officers shut down US-31 south of Coho Drive for a while to try and retrieve the cash with limited success.
At last word, only $7,000 of the $30,000 that fell off the truck has been recovered.
They say anyone who finds the lost money should hand it over to authorities.
