Robbers Learn Their Lesson: Never Leave Your Getaway Car Unattended With Engine Running

by Kelly Meyer

Authorities say 19 year old Gabriel Gonzalez and 23 year old Jeremy Lovitt robbed a Burger King restaurant in Stockton, California, but never saw a Burger King employee slip out the back door.  That employee, whose name hasn't been released, found the robbers' getaway car with the engine running. The employee hopped in, drove it around the block and hid the vehicle.  When the robbers ran outside with the money, they found their getaway car was gone.  They then tried to flee on foot, but were caught by police in just a few minutes.  The money was recovered.

Think the robbers will now sue Burger King for stealing their vehicle???  You never know nowadays.
