GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 5, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash north of Hudsonville injured a 38-year-old Wyoming man just before dawn on Tuesday.
First responders were dispatched to Port Sheldon Street near 28th Avenue around 6 AM on a report of a head-on crash with a driver pinned inside of his vehicle. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong, the driver was not pinned but was hurt when his eastbound pickup truck, which was pulling a utility trailer, collided with a westbound truck that apparently crossed the center line.
The injured motorist was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of what Wildfong would only say were non-life threatening injuries, while the other driver, a 52-year-old Hudsonville man, was not hurt. The sergeant couldn’t immediately say what led the Hudsonville man’s truck to drift over the center line as the collision remains under investigation.
